Outside Angkor Thom, head for the famous Ta Prohm Temple, site for the movie Tomb Raider by Angelina Jolie. Phare Circus is a popular venue for evening activities in Siem Reap, if not a must do. Content of the plays at Phare Circus are often the story of local children being suffered under the brutality of the notorious Khmer Rouge. A series of acrobatic techniques combined with visual arts and traditional music will give you a sensational night and a sense of hope that the people of Cambodia will overcome the dark days in the past.
The evening goes on with a fantastic dinner at the Touich Restaurant. Trying the “Khmer Rouge Curry” here is highly recommended. Rounding the day with a stroll through Pub Street, a hectic Western-designated corner filled with chic bars and restaurants.
